Island Peak Climbing

Island Peak Climbing also known as Imja Tse Peak (6119 m) which lies to the south of Everest & is one of the most famous trekking peak. After flying from Kathamndu to Lulka, one can trek to Gokyo & ascend gradually to have proper acclimatization, walking beside the moraines of the Ngizumpa glaciers & lakes on the way to Gokyo. From this point, one can climb Gokyo Ri to view all of the 8000 m mountain including Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Choyu & many more. Trek then continues to Lobuche via Chola pass through Khumbu glaciers to Gorakshep. Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5545 m) where one can have breathtaking panoramic Himalayan view. After crossing Kongma La (5535 m) to Chhukung, we have to attempt Island peak.

Tsum Valley Trek

It is a sacred Himalayan pilgrimage valley situated in northern Gorkha, Nepal. ‘Tsum’ comes from the Tibetan word ‘Tsombo’, which means vivid. Traditionally, Tsum valley was a currently distinct geographical area called ‘Tsum Tso Chucksums’, which means thirteen provinces ruled as a single territory.

Against the majestic backdrop of the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal, Boudha Himal ranges, this serene Himalayan valley is rich in ancient art, culture and religion. The local people are mostly of Tibetan origin & speak their own dialect. The altitude of Tsum Valley trek varies from 1905m in Lhokpa to over 5093 m at Ngula Dhojhyang pass on the Tibetan border. The hidden valley is surrounded by the Boudha Himal and Himal chuli to the west, Ganesh Himal to the south & Sringi Himal to North.

People in Tsum Valley still practice polyandry system and they have their own unique culture, tradition, & dialect. They celebrate a unique festival like Lhosar, Dhacyhang, Saka Dawa, Fanning & others. Many residents of this valley report that they have seen or found the signs of Mehti, commonly referred to as the ‘Yeti’ or ‘Abominable Snowman’.

Tsum Valley trek trails strewn with artistic chortens and lined with Mani walls made of thousands of stone slabs carved with drawings of deities and inscribed with prayers. The famous Kyimo Lung, a pilgrimage circuit in the central Trans-Himalaya is a well-known seat of learning and a seat of meditation. The circuit traverses across Tsum Valley, Manaslu area in Nepal and southern parts of Tibet. The Buddhist saint Milarepa is believed to have meditated in the caves of these mountains. Due to its remoteness and inaccessibility, this sacred valley and its people have been bypassed by mainstream development for centuries. As a result, the unique culture of this valley has also remained fairly intact. This trek begins from Arughat in Gorkha district, which is easily accessible from Kathmandu.

Dhaulagiri Trek

Paragliding in Pokhara

Paragliding in Pokhara is a flying adventure in Nepal in Pokhara.

The simple engine free aircraft  fits easily into a rucksack and weighs around 12 kgs. The passenger can foot launch and gently foot  land again with minimum effort.

Due to the portable nature and easy launch characteristics of a paraglider, it can be taken anywhere and fly from most of the mountains in Nepal especially in Annapurna region.

Paragliding in Pokhara offers various kinds of tours. For the beginners three day introductory course or tandem (where one can fly with an instructor) is offered. The experienced one can fly themselves. However, for the tourist, it is available for one hour and half an hour trip.

Tandem Flights: Tandem flying involves flying with a passenger: both have separate harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. Paragliding harnesses are very comfortable and safe which feel like an armchair allowing the passengers to sit back, relax, enjoy the scenery and even take picture.

Bungee Jumping in Nepal

Phulchowki Hiking

After half an hour drive to Godavari, you can hike up, little uncomfortable but the reward is incredible and awesome. The place is accessed by car as well which takes nearly one hour. But there is much worth to go on hiking through footpaths which makes an amazing trip. Such a hiking trip can be started at early in the morning so that your trip return back to Godavari within daylight hours.
