Bandipur Tour

The ancient Newari town of Bandipur stretches east to west on its mountain saddle reflecting the traditional architecture richness of the Kathmandu Valley in its pagoda roofs, latticework windows and stone-paved alley. The residents are in the form of compact town houses, built of brick often with ornate windows and doorways. The roofs are of zinc-tins or slate. The houses of the bazaar is covered by balcony that extends through its entire length from each shop in front. There are many temples and caves in and around Bandipur. The rivers are graded on a series of one to five, with grades three to five being best suited for rafting. Four is considered to be quite challenging and five requires some previous experience. October through mid December & March through mid of May is the best season for river adventure.

Trisuli
The Trisuli being the most easily accessible river by far, a rafting trip on this river can be made for a day to three days, depending upon the availability of time and interest. The trip starts at Baireni, about two hour drive from Kathmandu. The trip goes below the Prithvi Highway with many exciting rapids via Gajuri, Chauraundi and ends at Kuringhat after three days. However, the trip can be continued upto Chitwan National park.

Upper Dolpo Trekking

Upper Dolpo Trekking is the less touristic trekking trail in western Nepal.

In relation to Lower Dolpa, very few people enter this region which is upper section of Tse-Phoksundo National park. Special permit must be obtained to trek in this region. Virgin landscape, Tibetan plateau, dry & cold surrounding are the main attraction of this trek. The northern part is particular, a home for endangered animal like Musk Deer, Snow Leopard, Blue Sheep etc. The area is well known for Himalayan herbs like Yarshagumba (half animal & half plant). The area was a popular trade route between India & Tibet until few years back. A very famous film called Caravan was featured meticulously captured the trading taken place in this region. The inner & upper part of Dolpa is fully influenced by Tibetan culture however, southern part is influenced with Hindu culture & tradition. During November to March, the residents of Ringmo village head over to lower elevations with their animals for grazing. Particularly, this area has an attraction of wild & pristine landscape, which is unlike with other parts of Nepal

Lower Dolpo Trekking

Lower Dolpo Trekking is the most popular trek in remote western Nepal. The trial passes through Tse-Phoksundo National park for which an entry fee to be paid in addition to the trekking permit. The reliable access is by air to Juphal, which is at 4 hours distance from Dunai, headquarters of Dolpa district.

We do have regular flight from Nepalgunj to Dunai. May be trek can be started from Dhorpatan & end to Tansen/Pokhara, which is throughout in this region. The trek can be completed within 15-24 days depend upon the weather & walking speed. This circuit can be completed either clockwise or anti clock wise on the interest of tourist. However, the attraction of this trek is Tarap Valley & Phoksundo lake. The following itinerary is recommended, even it can be changed as according to the wish of the tourist.

Jumla Rara Lake Trekking

Jumla Rara Lake Trekking probably, one of the most fascinating trek in all the Himalayan range due to its unique tranquility, blending well in perfect harmony with the beautiful mountains & landscapes.

The Rara lake is situated at an elevation of 2990 m above the sea level and is the biggest lake in the country. The lake is surrounded with juniper & pine forest of the Rara national park.

The way to get to this region is, one can have a flight or bus to Nepalgunj and a flight to Jumla, from where a few (2/3) days walk will lead us to the trek-point.

Treks passes through the remote village towards the Tibetan border. After entering into this region, one can find smallest national park and with this park biggest lake in the country of Nepal.

Since the area is famous for trekkers who loves nature however, the tea lodges are developed yet, hence camping trek is only an option to visit & entertain.

Upper Mustang Trekking

The small isolated kingdom of Mustang occupies just over 3000 square kilometers with an average altitude of 4000m just below the Photu –La pass (4600m,which is itself only 75 meters above the Tsangpo plain of Tibet.  Upper mustang trekking is a cultural and historical trekking tour package.

Geographically, culturally and climatically, this region belongs with Tibetan Platue. Now it is with some autonomous belongs to Nepal.

The Thak Khola/Kali Gandaki originates here and flows out of the Mustang valley in a series of deep gorges. The place is described as Lost Kingdom by a French anthropologist, Michel Peissel.

Mustang is said to have existed as an independent state as early as the fifth century AD, but was absorbed into Tibet under Songtsenampo in the seventh century. Later it achieved a degree of independence, becoming an important centre of the Lamaistic Sakyapa sect.

After the disintegration of Gumthang in the early 15th century, Gayalpo Ame Pal (1380-1450) founded a dynasty that has survived until the day of today.

Ganesh Himal Trek

Another remote area, suitable for fully organized trekking, lies to the west of Langtang. Ganesh Himal comprises several peaks over 7000 m elevation with uninhabited foothills running down to the south & west. Ganesh Himal trek usually starts at Syabrubeshi & takes at 9 days if ending point is at Trisuli. You may also end your trek at Dhading which you need to add three more days. No specific permit is required except national park entry permit.

From Syabrubeshi, the route follows old trails to Paldor Base Camp. There is an another road due to mines but it can be avoided for more enjoyable trek. After four days the site of Paldor base camp is reached. From Paldor the route passes through Mailung Khola before climbing up onto the crest of the Tiru Danda ridge. If you continued your walk three more days, you will be explored unrivalled views west to Manaslu & Annapurna Massifs, north to the Ganesh Himal & east to Langtang. Crossing the pass at Pansang Bhanjyang the trial passes finally ends up at Trisuli Bazar in three days. From Trisuli, you may drive either to Kathmandu or to head out to Dhading.

Makalu Base Camp Trek

Makalu Base Camp trek is a remote area trekking route of eastern Nepal.

This is culturally and environmentally diverse region and worth to visit. The trial passes through the Makalu Naional Park and ends at the base camp from which there are fantastic views of Everest, Makalu and Lhotse.

As trail goes on higher altitude, one should be ready to face the altitude sickness and diverse weather conditions. Sometime this weather may be the obstacle for the further progress. However, the region offers varieties of culturally and ethnically rich people and nature.

It is the fifth highest mountain in the world which is quite close with top of the world Mt. Everest. This area is blessed with diversity of natural vegetation, culture and life style of local residents.

This trek is totally isolated from the modern society so that few trekkers are traveled and used to stay at the tented camp.
