Lhasa to Kathmandu

Please note that Tibet is still a simple place. In Lhasa, you can have many choices on the hotels, but in other places such as Gyantse and Shigates, the best hotel is 3 star, and in the remote places like Tingri area, only normal guesthouses are available, no selection. In Lhasa, all the 4 star hotels are located in the New Town, but the facilities, decoration, comfort, services are all better than 3 star. However, if you want to stay in the Old Town around the Barkor Bazzar, you can only stay in 3 star hotels. Do not expect more facilities about these hotels in Tibet. Those cannot be compared with similar classes of hotels of Mainland China.
